My little man is 18 mo old now. (ok he was back on 12/17) 1.5 yrs. Where has it gone? Here are his stats from his 18 mo checkup:
23.9 lbs (just 6lbs lighter than his big sister)
33" tall
He is a healthy growing boy. He did have to have 2 shots... I hate that part. That's one of the not fun parts of being a mommy.
He was great through the whole appt. Listened to the Dr and passed all evaluations with flying colors. Next well-baby visit at 2 yrs old. 2 yrs old ? ... Not ready for that yet.
*He is such a fun little boy. He has the most contagious laugh.... And he laughs all the time.... And keeps laughing and laughing. You can't help but smile and laugh with him.
*He is a very tough little boy. He will bonk his head or fall down and then laugh or look at you, get up, and move on to the next thing as if nothing happened ... Or do it again if he thinks it's funny. We say "man down" a lot. LOL.
*He talks up a storm, and you can understand him. He is putting 2 words together now.
Noah: "daddy mote"= I gave Daddy the remote.
Mommy: "Did you give daddy the remote?"
Noah: "uh-huh" shaking his head yes.
You have to acknowledge what he says by saying it back or he will repeat it over and over until you do acknowledge him.
*He still loves the movie Cars and now both kids love to watch The Incredibles. He knows which remote turns on which movie. Cars is on the DVR, so he knows it's the satelite remote. He also knows Incredibles is on the play station so it's the play station remote that turns that one on. He will grab the remote and bring it to you and repeat the name of the movie over and over until you answer his question. Cars? Cars? Cars? If you say "no, not now" he will get fussy and tell you "noooo. Cars!". Minor tantrum occurs.... And then we distract with something else and all is good.
*He loves his big sister... And her toys and sippy cup. They play with each other and wrestle around with each other and have a fun time. If he sees her sippy and his sippy... He will grab hers to drink from before taking his. He has fun playing with her toys especially her new "iPad" - it's actually a leapPad but they both call it her iPad. It's cute. He knows he shouldn't be playing with it but if it's with in reach he will grab it.
*He can reach onto the counters and will grab anything within reach, so we have to be very careful of what is left on the counters. After dinner Brianna will take her plate or bowl over to the sink, sometimes it only makes it to the counter. If we hear silence we know Noah has grabbed it off the counter, is sitting on the floor and finishing off what Bri left.
*He is always eating if we let him. He eats a good breakfast and lunch and if mommy or daddy go to make our lunch he is right in front of you "bite? Bite? Bite" until you give him a bite. He is a growing boy.
*He can climb up onto our bed and get off all by himself. I think he has only fallen off 1x. If we leave our door open we can count on finding him on our bed holding the remote trying to turn on the tv. And he is very proud of himself too.
*He sleeps through the night. Bed time is 8pm ish. He generally sleeps until 6 or 7am. Every day varies. Yesterday I had to wake him up at 6:45 to get ready for daycare, today He was awake and standing in his crib at 6:10 saying "Mommy. Mommy. Mommy." If daddy is lucky he might, key word might, sleep in till 7.
He is such a great little man. We are so blessed the he is our little man. Love you dude. Can't wait to see what the next 6 mo will bring.
