Photo a DayJune - Day 10

Day 10 - Best Bit of Your Weekend

Here was the best part of my weekend.  Going over to my mamas and sisters house for my nephews birthday, having waffles for dinner and watching the kids play with grandma.  They helped her water her garden, her rock garden.

Culture Parade

June 1st I was able to go and watch my niece Jessica in her 3rd grade culture parade at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site.  The parade was all the 3rd grade classes in 2 of the school districts here in town. It was so much fun.  Brianna now wants to be in a parade and I told her when she gets bigger.  She says she is bigger.  LOL.

Here is Noah and I waiting for the parade to start:

The fun culture parade:

Each student had a project board of some kind that they had made, that displayed their heritage/culture, and were wearing it in the parade. Each class was different and they were all so good.  It was alot of fun being able to watch my niece in her parade. 2 of  the local high school bands were also the beginning and the ending of the parade.  It was fun to be that close to the parade. Brianna and Noah had alot of fun and were very sad to go home when it was over.

Found this old post that I started but never posted..... this is from Sept 2010:

We got to enjoy some time out on the lake. Here is Bri and daddy:

Bri and Mommy on the tube about to be pulled by the boat. Bri did great - I was the one who got scared and wanted off real quick.

"Hold me mommy"

Tuckered out. She fell asleep on the way back to the dock.

We had a fantastic time ~ so glad my sister and her family live closer so we can visit.

Go Huskies!!

College football season is here, and in our house we have 'Purple' saturdays to support our favorite team the University of Washington Huskies. So today we put on our purple and took a family photo.... or tried to. Noah was getting wiggly and it looks like he is saying 'touchdown'. LOL.

Eagle Crest 2011

We took a family vacation and stayed a week at the Eagle Crest Resort in Redmond, OR. We had a great time. I loved spending time with Tim and the kids.

The kids were great on the 3+ hour drive over Mt. Hood and into central Oregon. Brianna slept most of the way. Here is a picture of Mt Hood:

Brianna and Noah all buckled in and ready to go:

There were so many fun things to do. Tim got to play a few rounds of golf. Tuesday we were able to see daddy on the 1st hole while I was taking the kids for a walk. Here he is putting:

Later he stopped by the condo and said hi. Our unit backed up to the 11th fairway

We all had a lot of fun at the pools.

Brianna couldn't get enough of the swings. She would ask to go 'weeeee'(translation = Swing) everyday once she saw the swings. Noah didn't like them at all. He sat in the swing for about 2min before we had to take him out. He had more fun walking around and finding sticks. Miss Brianna didn't want to get out of the swing. She loves them.

We took our bikes with us, and we rented a bike trailer so we could take the kids with us on bike rides. They loved it.

I enjoyed taking the kids for walks in the mornings. I would bundle them up and head out for a good 2-3 mile walk around the resort before breakfast. When the kids were up at 6:15 every morning - you've got time to go for an hour walk before breakfast. It was so nice to go for walks in the morning air. The clear skies were beautiful.

There were a few deer at the resort. They are apparently used to people because they don't move when you walk by them. Here is a picture of one we saw while on our walk. Just lounging in the morning sun.

On one of our last days there - we were up early and this is what we saw out off our back patio. A mommy deer and her baby and another mommy and her 2 babies back by the trees.

They came right up to the patio. It was amazing. The kids loved it.

We had a great week. Lots of fun and lots of memories.
