5 months old(back on Sat the 20th)

Sorry this one is late. I have a 5 month old.... Can't be on the computer all the time. :)
So.... my little princess is now 5 months old. It really does go by fast. What will I be saying in a few months when she is 1? Anyways... She is such a good little girl. She is generally happy and loves to smile (see post below- "mini cooper") She is rolling over alot. Here she is trying to get Daddy's bowling ball:(note: when she started... she was on the pink play mat)

Other than that we are doing good. She is sleeping really well at night and loves to be outside whenever she can. We love going to the softball fields to watch Daddy play. We are loving summer.

21 weeks

What a fun week... Brianna has now officially found her thumb. She would suck on her fist or fingers... now it's just her thumb. So cute!

Here Brianna is all ready to go bowling - like Daddy. LOL She is holding what looks like a Brianna size bowling bag (it's actually my Nintendo DS game holder) and one of the bowling balls Daddy bought at Nationals. Just her size.

"Mini Cooper"
Brianna smiles just like her cousin Cooper...... big open mouth. I love it. She's a 'mini Cooper'.

Viva Las Vegas

What a great weekend. We all took a trip to Las Vegas, NV. We went for 2 main reasons -1st Tim was bowling at the USBC National Bowling Tournament. 2nd we also got to be there for our friends wedding. Charlie and Diana tied the knot. It was alot of fun. Perfect weather... just about 85 degrees and just a nice breeze... not too windy while I was there. **Tim left Wed, Brianna, Grandma Reesa and I flew out Fri. Yup - we brought Grandma Reesa along for the ride. Actually - she volunteered(and I gladly accepted) to babysit at night so Tim and I could go out. Worked out well. Didn't have to leave my little one for 3 days.. and still got some adult time with my hubby, and Brianna to have quality time with Grandma Reesa. **Tim and I went to see the Cirque Du Soleil KA at the MGM (where we were staying). It was an incredible show. They are amazing performers. **Charlie and Diana's wedding was sweet , short and to the point. It really fit their personalities. Dinner was delicious. Thanks Charlie and Diana for letting us be there.

Here is Brianna and her first bus ride(with Grandma Reesa) We parked out in the economy lot and had to take a bus to the terminal.

Here we are sittin' in the airport waiting for our flight: ( Me, Brianna and Grandma Reesa - 3 generations)

Brianna after her first plane ride:

She was a great little girl. She fell asleep right before take off and woke up about 30 min before we landed in Vegas and I gave her her bottle and she was good as gold. People next to us gave her "the best baby on a flight - ever" award. She really was a good baby. One the way home she only cried for about 5 min.... ok maybe 10. She did wait all weekend to poop just as we got on the plane to come home and it was about to take off. I had to change her on Tim's lap. That was not fun. Great timing kid.
Here is a famly pic - this was right after Charlie and Diana's wedding. I think this is our 3rd or 4th family pic in the past 4 1/2 months.

Also my sister Jenelle and her boyfriend Matt were there. It was really fun hanging out with my little sis. We have not done that in so long. Saturday night Tim went to bed and Matt was still bowling - so Jenelle and I got to walk around together. That was great. Here we are with New York New York and MGM behind us ( drinks in hand and havin' fun) Glad you got to come sis.

First Bowling Ball

According to her Daddy.."It's never too early to start bowling. Now we just need to figure out if she is a lefty or a righty."
Yup. Daddy bought Brianna her first Bowling Ball. It's pink, and on one side there is a place to put her birth stats. So this will not ever be actually used - it's for display in her room...but it is her first bowling ball none the less. It's not the size of an actual bowling ball..... It's about the size of a small cantelope or a really big orange. Really cute if you ask me.

Wait a few years...we will have her with a real bowling ball at the bowling alley. It will be family time. I can't wait.

Bowling Alley Fun

OK- 2 posts in 1 day - can you believe it? Don't get used to it-hehe.

Last Tuesday, the 15th, I was at the Bowling Alley (I know shocker huh?) -Big Al's, just like every Tuesday Sept -April.
And I hear "Aunt Dawn". I look around and there is my nephew and niece - Cody and Jessica. It was a nice surprise. Normally I just sit and watch Tim bowl, and chit chat with the guys bowling or their significant others, or Amy if she comes to visit me. They were there for a friends birthday party. After they were 'done' with the birthday party (meaning after dinner, gifts and singing happy birthday and cake) We got to play in the arcade together. It was a nice change of pace, playing with them - instead of just watching the guys bowl. Uncle Tim let Cody use his game card, which I think had about $12-$15 on it. When it was returned there was about $2 left. It was put to good use though. :) See all the tickets collected:

Yeah - he needed a basket to carry them.
Jessica had a great time hanging out with Aunt Dawn. Cute huh? I think so.
Here she is on 'Dance Dance Revolution'. As the arrows are scrolling on the screen in front of you- you stomp on the same one on the dance pad with your feet. She did really good and picked it up fast. She was on the easiest level- and had fun. She is just too cute. Look at her go:
It was really great to see them. They are great kids, and a lot of fun!!

Balls, Balls, and more Balls.......

Softballs, bowling balls, and more softballs. Lots of them.
We had a great weekend. (Sorry Syd for the following) It was 80 degrees on Saturday. (however today it is 45 degrees), anyways.... Here is one of the fields we were at. That's Mt. St. Helens in the distance.

We spent the day at the softball field from about 9am - 4pm.
Lots of sunshine, and softball. Tim played in 3 games and had a great time. We both got our first sunburn of the season. I did remember the sunscreen, and used it- but just not enough I guess. Tim played right field, which means he layed out to catch balls (and slide) a time or two and now I need to soak his softball pants to get them clean. It will be my weekly duty for the next 6mo. Lucky me :)

After softball on Saturday we went to the Bowling Alley(30 min late) where Tim played in the county tournament. 3 games= 3 hours. Here he is taking off his Blue softball socks. Didn't have time to change at the softball field before heading to bowling.

Sunday we got up and had more Bowling. 6 games = 6 hours at the bowling alley. Whoo Hoo. Actually it wasn't all bad. I really do enjoy watching him bowl. Few friends wives were there, so I at least had someone to talk to . Gotta love the Hawaiian shirt!

After the long day at the bowling alley- we were able to get in about an hour nap before we went back to the softball field, yes more softball. Co-ed games started yesterday for the season. Those are every Sunday thru October- I think. They did really well, and had fun.

I still can't believe softball season is here. We have been at the bowling alley every week since last September. It is GREAT to be outside. We were just really lucky we had no rain this weekend. Many games to come will be rained out - I look forward to those ones too - I can stay home and enjoy my weekend by taking a long nap.
