We just got back from a great week in Whistler, BC Canada. We were invited to go with some dear friends of ours Charlie and his wife Diana. It was a long drive, approx 7.5 hrs - but we survived. Brianna was great considering how far we went. Not much snow on the ground- ok no snow on the ground in the village- but there was enough on the Mtns for them to enjoy.
One of the days the sun came out and we had some great views of the mountains.
Here we are having lunch with Tim after he, Charlie and Diana went down the mountains.

Because I am 4.5m pregnant- I was not able to enjoy snowboarding down the mountains this time. Instead Brianna and I would get all bundled up and go window shopping through Whistler village while Tim, Charlie and Diana went snowboarding and skiing. She loved the stroller. Every time we went out- she would end up falling asleep. I guess she was very cozy in there. Here I actually got a pic of her awake, all bundled up.

Whistler mtn and Blackcomb mtn are right next to each other. You will hear them referred to as Whistler-Blackcomb.
Here is Blackcomb mountain- all those white patches in between the trees are the ski runs- they go waaaayyyyy up.

Here is Whistler mountain. Yes- the lifts and runs go alllll the way to the top.

Here is Tim at the top of Blackcomb mtn.

And some pics he took on his way back down.

This is a picture Tim took from the Whistler-Blackcomb Peak to Peak Gondola. It's a gondola that you take from one mtn Peak to the other so you can ski or snowboard down the other mtn. Whistler Village is right about the middle of the picture.

Here is Whistler Village where Brianna and I would go window shopping and walking to get out of the hotel. No snow on the ground-But it was still beautiful.

Some events of the winter Olympics are being held in Whistler in a few weeks. They were still setting some things up. Here is one of the signs at the Ticket office.

The blue thing in the background is a stage for the medal presentations. They were still building it. Everyday there was more and more done when we would walk by. It will be interesting to see it all done on the TV in a few weeks.

We had a great time, and are so thankful Charlie and Diana invited us to go.
Poor miss Brianna came down with a double ear infection as the week went on and was a bit cranky until we were able to get her some antibiotics. She is doing so much better now. But inspite of her not feeling well-we were all able to enjoy our vacation.
